What inspires you? I see an image, i draw it, and it draws on pop culture and history passed through the hands of time will tell if the crushed beetles that make her skin a slight vermillion, the charcoal from the burnt piece of wood I found on the beach, the stones, the siena ochre clay path leading to the house, the plants and other natural pigments from within this environment I find myself on an island of Brazil. These things are what inspire me.. the painting is made in traditional egg tempura medium as the Masters once did.. just as I’m sure the pigments they painted with, were not synthetic but from their environment too… Stay tuned for the completion of this painting….
