Fire Island Pines, 1999. The summer I met Todd. We would be together for almost 15 years. I was 28 years old and on the cusp of tremendous change. Winding down my dance career and making my way into the unknown. So many incredible experiences were in the pipeline. Having my first Saturn return. And experiencing a significant relationship. We were both from Akron Ohio and only a year apart. I would always say he was from “the right side of the tracks.” He went to the all boys Jesuit H.S. I went to public. But we didn’t meet until that summer on FIP. It’s giving “Ring them Bells”. IYKYK We would spend the next thirteen summers together on Fire Island.
