Sometimes the reset isn’t another task or another conversation. Sometimes it’s fresh air, movement, sunlight, and letting yourself play a little.
Here are some ways to find small pockets of joy outside:
• go for a walk with no destination
• roller skate or ride a bike
• sit in the sun and close your eyes for a few minutes
• take your coffee or tea outside
• stretch on the grass
• listen to music and dance in the park
• watch the sunset
• take a slow hike
• people-watch at an outdoor café
• read a book on a bench
• have a picnic
• garden or water plants
• take a barefoot walk in the grass
• throw a ball around with your kids
• go to the beach and listen to the waves
• take a deep breath of fresh air between meetings
• look up at the sky for a minute
• walk your neighborhood and notice something new
• laugh with friends outside
• simply sit and do nothing
