I am so proud of myself. This is my first time traveling this far alone, and my first day in Accra, Ghana did not disappoint. I got off the plane at 7:15 AM and didn’t get back to my room until 8 PM. I spent the day galavanting and getting to know the city deeply. I had reservations about the trip, but Day 1 confirmed what I already knew in my spirit. I am guided by my ancestors. I am protected. There is nothing to fear. The conference starts Friday, and my first day here has prepared me more than the last few months I spent preparing at home.
