Happy 9th Birthday Carter! My first baby is nine today, and we kicked off the celebrations with a family camping trip this past weekend. A few reflections… Camping is a lot of work! One of those things that sounds fun in theory… until you’re knee deep in gear, setting up tents, swatting bugs, and realizing you’re now the adult who brings all the things instead of the kid who just shows up. 😮‍💨 But even with the dirt, the chaos, and the extra laundry we came home with, I’m so grateful we did it. I love nature and all that it gives back. It gives space to breathe, slow down, and watch the kids explore their imagination outdoors. Just presence. It was so needed. It was also really special to share this experience my family and with my bestie. camilla.dd.hunt Over 20 years of friendship, and now we’re camping with our kids side by side.
