I watched the antm documentary on Netflix and I have so much to say. To start off, SHAME ON PRODUCTION and TYRA BANKS. How could they have used these girls like this? It truly is a sad realization for me, as someone who used to idolize tyra banks and this show as a pre-teen. I thought they were doing something groundbreaking at the time, but now with more information, I’m learning how toxic and detrimental the show really was to these young impressionable girls who depended on this show for a career, people who came from nothing. I even remember the effects the show had on me, I started thinking bread would make me ”fat” because of the line they fed Keenyah in whatever season that was when they tell her she needs to take the bread off her burger… The worst part is that even the winners did not get any advantages or job guarantees at the end. Basically it meant nothing on their cv’s in the actual fashion industry. Idk I’m honestly just so sad and disappointed that they let this happen...
