How good has Jake Stegman been over the last calendar year? Consider the following...
Jake ended the regular season 12th in NCAA Division I with 2.29 assists per game.
Since becoming a full-time starter on March 5, 2022 against Detroit Mercy, Jake has posted a point in 24 of his last 25 games (only a total of four games in that span (all last year) weren’t multi-point efforts). He’s posted 72 of his 91 career points over that 25-game stretch. Six of his seven career games with at least three assists have come this season and since the start of BIG EAST play on April 1, he has 17 assists over a six-game span (2.83/game).
Jake shattered the program's previous season assist record by 12 - he had 32 in 2023, topping a 10-year-old mark set by then-freshman Conor Gately during MU's first season in 2013.
