This is a tube anemone, and here we can see that it is snatching up plankton and other tiny particles drifting by with its tentacles. ⁠ ⁠ Unlike true sea anemones, tube anemones live in soft sediment, secreting a protective mucous tube. At night, they extend their outer tentacles to feed and use their shorter, inner tentacles to transport the food to the mouth.
