The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is working beyond the courtroom to strengthen our community and support those who need it most. Through the Life’s Choices grants, $1 million has been awarded to local nonprofits to expand youth programs, mental health services, and substance use treatment. From after-school enrichment to increased access to counseling and new clinics, these efforts are creating more opportunities for care and connection across our island. This commitment continues through the E Ho‘i I Ka Piko Reentry Program, supported by a $1 million federal grant. By helping formerly incarcerated individuals successfully reintegrate through behavioral health services and community support, this initiative promotes healing, accountability, and second chances.
