You know what makes us crabby? Horseshoe crabs are nearly twice as old as the dinosaurs — they have been crawling ashore for over 450 million years — but they now face extinction from modern threats. Horseshoe crab populations have plummeted by more than 70% in recent decades because of overharvesting and habitat loss. Yet the Trump administration just denied them protections under the Endangered Species Act.
