Multnomah County has set a grand opening date for what will soon be one of its largest libraries, second only to the troubled flagship branch in downtown Portland. The doors to the 95,000-square-foot Gresham literature hub will open May 16, according to the library website. The county will host “free, fun-filled community events” that weekend to celebrate the milestone.
