What if the food in your fridge could tell you what to cook? 💡 Kirtan Patel, a senior studying computer science and graphic design in Creighton’s College of Arts and Sciences, is launching FreshPlate—an app designed to help people reduce food waste by tracking ingredients, monitoring expiration dates and generating recipes from what’s already in the kitchen. The idea came from a problem he noticed in his own life. “Like many students, I’d buy groceries with good intentions, but busy schedules meant food would expire before I used it,” Kirtan says. “FreshPlate helps people use everything they buy, reduce waste and save money.” At Creighton, students turn ideas into solutions that make a real-world impact. #Creighton #StudentInnovation #Entrepreneurship #TechForGood #FoodWaste
