I'm slowly re-taking photos of my older work, for the gallery on my new website. Camera settings still need tweaking I think. Way back in 2012 I was lucky enough to be asked to paint the Games Day 2012 Blood Angel Captain miniature for my local Games Workshop store and I jumped at the chance. I also used it as one of my UK Golden Demon entries for the same year. Someone asked me what the recipe for the armour was last week and after some rummaging I actually managed to find it in my notes from 11 years ago. So here it is: Basecoat: Mechrite Red (Mephiston Red is closest now I think) and Scab Red (Khorne Red) mix. I didn’t make a note of the ratio sadly but maybe 75:25 or possibly 50:50.
