I’ve been coming to the CN Tower since I was a child.
I love being in the water, but I have had a crazy fear of heights my entire life.
You couldn’t get me to put one foot on that glass floor 1,122 feet above ground.
There was a time when I’d turn my back in the elevator because my stomach would turn as we climbed into the sky. I’d get nauseous and my legs would shake.
Now, I don’t care. I’ve learned in life, that we need to face our fears to grow and to learn. Our fears simply exist in our minds.
I saw so many fearful people today and I just wanted to pull them onto the glass floor with me and assure them “YOU can do this!” This applies to so many aspects of our lives. Whether it’s professional, or simply the fear of trying something new to improve your health and fitness.
When I decided fear would no longer hold me back, I grow.
When I step out of my comfort zone, I grow.
