Even after years of efforts, during our recent Saturday cleanup, we found numerous broken liquor bottles scattered on the sand — clearly consumed and smashed right on the beach. Have we stopped thinking? These shattered pieces can injure children, walkers, and beachgoers, and are extremely harmful to marine life and the environment. If we can carry bottles full, why can’t we carry them empty back?
