#Vanmahotsav2023 The beach cleaning campaign started by four or five friends at their own expense has grown into 300 to 400 people who clean the beaches in Mira-bhayandar's - Uttan, Velankanni & Mumbai's Gorai, Manori Beaches each Saturday and Sunday. Over the past 3 years, the organisation has created awareness among lakhs of people with more than 25,000 volunteers. More than 1000 tonnes of plastic and mixed waste from beaches and mangrove areas has been successfully collected. Not only is waste collected, but it is also recycled. Also signed ‘MoU’ with “Mangrove Foundation, Government of Maharashtra” for Mangroves and Marine Biodiversity Conservation & Cleanup Drive in Thane-Mumbai region. Through this initiative, a cleanliness and conservation campaign is being carried out in areas such as Mira Bhayandar, Borivali and Malad.
