Some rooms you walk into and you just feel the weight of it 💔💔💔 Last week I was invited to the launch of The Reclaim Project by Eugene Ankomah, created with the incredible young people from Salmon Youth Centre You enter and young people dressed like forensic investigators hand you flowers. Then they guide you through an incident trail. Sirens. Police tape. A forensic tent. The sounds of parents crying. The chaos of the street. this is the reality of what’s happening in our communities the youth are crying out for help At the end, you stand behind the tape and look into a casket. Because knife crime doesn’t end with headlines. It ends with funerals What makes this installation so powerful is that it’s not telling young people’s stories about them — it’s being created by them. Their voices. Their grief. Their message. Art like this doesn’t let you look away And maybe that’s exactly what we need Because behind every statistic is a life that should still be here. #Reclaim...
