Yesterday while helping dad on site
Seeing how much I still remember from my trade days gone by, Surprisingly quite a lot actually 🙄😆
And (surprise, surprise) took a camera with me to test a few theories that had been rattling around since a talk I gave the other week about photography and the career.
One big truth hit me again:
we’ve all been guilty of thinking we need the latest gear to be any good. Don’t chase equipment just because it’s new
use what works for you, learn what you have don’t envy others and be you!
Yeah, I know!
the people who know me best give me shit because I’m “the man of many cameras.” But honestly? The bodies I look forward to using the most are 15+ years old for digital, and 40+ years for film.
These images were shot on a Panasonic fs3 digicam for example which came out in 2008
And don’t be afraid to fail. The best way we learn in life is by fucking up and going, “well, I won’t do that again!”
✌️
