I’ll show you exactly how I approached personal branding, even when I felt like I had nothing special to share:
1. Any project, certification, study material, free resource I found I would share on social media. Whether it was LinkedIn or TikTok. This help people recognize you as a go to person for help.
2. Build your projects out loud, this helps to hold you accountable to complete them and add them to your GitHub repo or portfolio.
3. The main strategy I realized that people engaged with most were posts that were relatable, helpful and genuine. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, we are not robots just because we’re pursuing tech!
4. Tag companies of software you use, tag people you find helpful. Thai helps you get seen and found for potential opportunities.
5. SHOW UP! Go to the events, if crowds make you nervous set boundaries to leave after a certain time. Even if you don’t land a role or a mentor you will most likely walk away learning something. Connect with folks on LinkedIn....
