The core inspiration for my upcoming series, ‘Inscriptions of a Dreamed Existence,’ stems from my own childhood paintings (3-6 yrs old) and ancient Chinese scripts, blurring the line between drawing and script, reminiscent of logographic times. As a child in Taiwan, I embraced traditional Chinese, where characters resembled drawings due to my unfamiliarity with the language. Drawing from my childhood paintings (crafted between ages 3 to 6), I infuse ancient Chinese scripts into these references, resulting in artworks that vividly resurrect youthful experiences akin to a dream. Employing mediums like glitters, markers, and oil sticks on canvas and paper, this process grants me both freedom and authenticity.
