I don’t like how this is framed in terms of values versus how communities are structured. Poor neighborhoods are far more likely to be zoned mixed-use or industrial-adjacent, which means more warehouses, bus stops etc.
Then we all know that highways were intentionally run through our neighborhoods. Homes in our neighborhoods are poorly made, which means poorly insulated which = noise.
The point being that our neighborhoods are designed to be noisy. They put in our neighborhoods what the wealthy would never accept in their neighborhoods. And that’s a consequence of racial hierarchy & income inequality rather than personal choice. Just want to make sure that’s clear, now back to these Christmas leftovers 🎄☺️
