Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer Ronnie Garvin said modern wrestling is "embarrassing to watch" on bustedopenonsiriusxm and revealed he told a local promoter his show "sucks" to his face. ​ "I went to some places to sign autographs, and then they had wrestling after. They wanted me to stay, and it was actually embarrassing to watch. I had one guy who's a promoter. He said, 'What do you think?' He had 20 people that came to the matches. I said, 'It sucks. It's horrible. I wouldn't even put that in front of kids.'" ​ "They call it wrestling, but nobody takes a hold. It's okay to kick, punch, and sometimes chairs, whatever. But that's a big plus when you're wrestling somebody that's been in the business and they keep you in the ring 50 minutes." ​ Garvin said he never talked in the ring in his entire career: "I watched a match about six months ago.
