WCW Saturday Night on TBS started at 6:05pm every week for nearly 30 years. The reason was a TBS scheduling strategy called Turner Time, introduced in 1981. Every show on TBS started five minutes past the hour for two reasons. It kept viewers from switching channels at the top of the hour since they would already have missed five minutes of the competition.
