Ronda Rousey is not expected to return to AEW in the near future, according to PWInsider Elite's Mike Johnson. Her appearance at Revolution on March 15 was a one-off rather than the start of any working relationship with the promotion. ​ Johnson reported the appearance served two purposes: to promote Rousey's upcoming MMA return against Gina Carano under Jake Paul's MVP promotion on Netflix, and to support her friend Marina Shafir, who competed on the card. ​ Revolution took place in Los Angeles, which is Rousey's local market and the same city where her fight against Carano is set to take place.
