Study Abroad Spotlight: Spiridoula (Iris) Gkini ’27 — Milan 🇮🇹 Meet Iris, an economics major and education minor who is studying abroad this semester in Milan. Originally from Greece, Iris grew up in New York and now calls Texas home. She always dreamed of studying abroad as a way to explore new cultures, meet people from around the world, and challenge herself. That dream led her to the IES Abroad Milan Business Studies program, where she also has the opportunity to study at Bocconi University while living in a city known for its fashion, history, culture, and incredible food. This semester, Iris is taking courses like The Political Economy and European Integration, Large Models for Market Research, and Energy & Environmental Economics and Policy.
