A rose, to me, is symbolic of beauty and patience. Patience because it is a part of the creation, like many other flowers. It doesn’t question- it knows it’s going to bloom. And so it does. It is beautiful. It lights up the world around it by every sense. It engages all 5 of our senses. But yet, it protects itself. There’s nothing more Fierce than a seed’s struggle and victory in bloom. There is nothing more Fierce than a beauty that guards itself. And I identify with both those qualities.
