A 10-point test to see if you’re actually winning at parenting 🏆✨
Today at Kukkudu Mountain, I realized that while I’m busy building a miniature world, my kids are busy building their understanding of the real one through their endless “Why” and “How” questions.
It’s easy to get frustrated when we’re busy, but every “Why” is a sign of a brilliant, critical-thinking mind. Check this Parenting Reality Check to see how well you’re actually doing (especially 2 and 8):
1. The Question Test: Did you answer at least one “Why?” today with a smile, even if you were exhausted?
2. The 5-to-2 Rule: If you felt like losing your temper 5 times but stayed calm for 2, count that as a massive victory.
3. Protecting Curiosity: Remember that their questions are how they practice thinking for themselves.
4. The Presence Check: Spend 10 minutes building something together—focus on the bond, not the mess.
