A Million Petals, One Family 🌼❤️
We spent a magical spring day at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan, walking through carpets of paper daisies that look just like they’re made of paper. These flowers are actually from Western Australia, but the gardeners here recreate the right conditions every year so Sydney families can enjoy them too.
Why visit?
Largest display of paper daisies in NSW (over 2,000 m²!).
Peak bloom: September to early October (only a few weeks each year).
Location: Connections Garden, right near the Visitor Centre.
Entry & parking: FREE.
Best time: Morning on weekdays (less crowded, flowers open wide in sunshine).
💡 Tip: Pack some snacks, water, and your camera. The Garden Café is also nearby if you want to relax after your walk.
For us, the highlight was capturing my wife and twins surrounded by millions of flowers in one frame, a memory we’ll always keep. 💕
