C I R C U L A T E At the Baker Street project where we are adding new apartments to a historic building, the chimneys clash with the best location for the communal corridor that would normally present a challenge. The previous architect who failed twice on this scheme assumed this could be removed. Our investigations on site deduced that this would present more issues than they solve with active services within and other heritage complications. (See image 4) aichitect.xyz provided advice to our design team and established rules for the design. Our solution? A journey in the communal space characterised by curved walls and celebrated Brick Chimneys remaining untouched penetrating the space. It's only been a few days so it's still very rough, but the concept is well received by the Family Office client and proceeding rapidly. To God be the Glory. 2025.
