Just got back from Abuja with a full heart 🕊️✨ “TOLL FREE” was nominated at the SDG Awards (under the SSA to the President on SDGs) and went on to win in the Best Indigenous Film Category. Due to flight delays, I missed the main ceremony—but as life would have it I was surprisingly presented my award at the UN House Abuja. I was officially invited to the UN House Abuja for Human Rights Day, where “TOLL FREE” was screened, and I spoke on why I chose to tell this story—one centred on mental wellness and gender-based violence. Whilst also speaking on an amazing panel besides so many respectful voices including the Belgium Ambassador & UNESCO, I was honored to lend my voice. What started off as a creatively personal project has now travelled from London to Lagos to Barbados, earned multiple nominations, secured distribution, and now its first win.
