The Karen is a Sino-Tibetan ethnic tribe. They reside primarily in Karen State, southern Burma. Out of which a large number of Karen people have migrated to Thailand, having escaped war and Violence in Burma. The long neck tribe is super famous for their womens’ golden rings worn around necks, forearms and shins. The ladies I talked to said, the tradition started for protecting themselves from Tiger attacks and now for the beauty.
