It is made from Financial Times newspapers, compressed into rock-like forms and placed on an inverted cloud base that mirrors the rock itself, suspending between earth and heaven. The surface is sanded back so that layers of text emerge like geological strata, evoking an illusion of deep time, a landscape of information shaped by the accelerating flows of global capital that produce both utopia and dystopia. In the spirit of Ghost in the Shell, this work asks what remains of the human ghost within the systems that define our age.
