22 - 26 January 2025 Ceramics Brussels - Almine Rech ceramic.brussels/en Thanks to alminerech for showing my 3D printed porcelain sculpture in its first Ceramic art fair. This work comes from a long process of researching and working with a state of the art ceramic company specialising in 3D printing in porcelain inside of Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China. This is the first showing of their technology in an art fair and was first shown in my solo show with Almine Rech in Shanghai. Navigating the intersection of Chinese and British cultures, my work with 3D-printed porcelain scholar rocks embodies a philosophical exploration of creation, transformation, and cultural identity. By reinterpreting ancient myths of humanity’s formation from clay through the lens of modern technology, I bridge the past and present, tradition and innovation, and the duality of my cultural heritage.
