Why I Don’t Talk About the “Bad Days” Living Abroad
People often ask, “Why don’t you share more about the negatives of living in Thailand?”
My answer is simple:
Because I intentionally built a life where the negatives don’t weigh me down.
I spent months — not days — researching before I made this move. I studied countries, cultures, cost of living, digital infrastructure, walkability, weather, and how those things would support my lifestyle, health, and goals.
This wasn’t luck. It was alignment.
And when you find alignment, you stop fighting your environment.
That’s why I don’t have a laundry list of complaints.
That’s why you see me thriving, not just surviving.
The old way of migrating — where we moved to countries that didn’t fit us but seemed like the only option — doesn’t have to be our path anymore.
Remote work changed the game.
