By now you have heard that Scotiabank has reduced their USD allocations on their Credit Cards and removed all access to USD on their Visa Debit cards. There are a lot of factors that go into the Forex Crisis in Trinidad and Tobago...none of which can be fixed within the next 20 years I believe...that would require an overhaul of how T&T does business and how they go about generating USD. There are 3 solutions for people that come to mind now though: 1) Vote competent people into government that can present a long term plan for real investment into the country and create the right environment for businesses to get the tools they need to export products and generate USD. 2) Citizens need to learn how to apply for international jobs, learn in-demand digital skills to get those jobs and/or learn how to freelance in order to get clients outside of T&T. Then open up a Wise account or a bank account that's not in T&T, send all the payments to those accounts so that now you have access to...
