Co-operators wasn’t built as just another insurance company. It started during the Great Depression, when a group of farmers came together because traditional insurance wasn’t meeting their needs. So they created their own. A co-operative model rooted in one simple idea: people helping people.
Not policies first. People first.
That foundation still shows up today.
That kind of approach isn’t easy, especially when expectations are higher than they’ve ever been. Bigger goals. Tougher targets. More complexity.
But what makes a difference here is the network. The ability to lean on each other, share ideas, ask questions, and move forward together. That kind of support changes how you approach the work.
What a privilege to be able to see that today.
Thank you cooperators insurance and Mel for hosting me today as their closing keynote. So many wonderful humans in one room!
And of course, huge appreciation to Marnie Ballane and Speakers Spotlight for the continued partnership.
