There are many different ways to perform buccal massage.
This is mine.
My approach is very gentle and very safe. Buccal massage should never hurt. The mouth should not be stretched. Your client should feel relaxed, with a sense of space inside the mouth.
I choose this approach for a reason.
The tissues of the body, especially in delicate areas like the mouth, respond to pressure with inflammation. When that inflammation is repeated or prolonged, it can lead to fibrotic tissue formation. Over time, this can contribute to loss of elasticity and drooping.
Buccal massage should release tension, not create more stress in the tissue.
When done correctly, it helps relax contractions, reduce inflammation, and support a natural lifting effect. The result is not only visible, but also lasting.
