Yesterday I sat across the table from one of my great customers. It had been a while since I had last seen him so before we got into our tech talk, he filled me in on the latest and greatest with his four kids. He spoke about his oldest daughter with great pride. As a sophomore, she had not made the cut for the JV soccer team. She was incredibly disappointed, so he encouraged her to try out for water polo instead, a sport she had never played. She HATED it at first, but stuck with it. Fast forward to end of the season and she had earned herself a starting spot… on the VARSITY team! He went on to say how hard she was working and how much fun she was having. Then he said, “on top of all of that, she’s lost two dress sizes! It has been so great to watch her body confidence improve. She is so strong and more confident than I have ever seen her.” I wish I could describe the look in his eyes. It was a special conversation.
