A few weeks ago we celebrated CJs 4th Birthday at the Downtown Aquarium with a couple of friends & family and it was a blast. . Initially, we were going to have a big party but after much reflection we decided to keep it very intimate so he wouldn't get overstimulated and overwhelmed. . One of the things I've learned as a mom to a #neurodiverse child is to put aside what I want, focus on his needs & be more accepting/accommodating of him even while exposing them to different experiences & opportunities. . FYI the Aquarium was so much. They have different animals from sharks & sting rays to tigers.
