Jannat al-Baqīʿ (Arabic: ٱلْبَقِيْع‎, "The Baqi'") is the oldest and the first Islamic cemetery of Medina in the Hejazi region of present-day Saudi Arabia. Why is it called Baqi? Because the Prophet alayhisalaaam said everyone buried between me and Uthman Ibn Affan will be in Jannah. Uthman is buried at the back corner of Baqi.
