7 cm dilated. 100% effaced. Baby A fully engaged. And somehow, still just casually pregnant. Had my OB come to the house yesterday for my weekly appointment checkup, complete with an ultrasound, NST, and bloodwork. And during the NST I felt something and asked what baby part it was… It was a contraction. lol. At this point my body is clearly preparing… but as always, it’s not a crystal ball. As we head into 38 weeks, we’re shifting from weekly visits to more frequent monitoring to make sure everyone (especially with a shared placenta) is still thriving.
