Today is Yom HaShoah. Holocaust Remembrance Day. A day to honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. A day to mourn. To remember. To say: never again. But this year, it hits differently. Because never again is happening now. Because Jews are still being held hostage by Hamas. Because antisemitism is rising — globally, loudly, shamelessly. Because we’re raising Jewish children in this world, and we refuse to be quiet about what it means to keep them safe. As two queer Jewish moms, we know what it means to fight for our family’s safety and visibility. We know what it means to carry generational trauma and resilience. And we know that “Never Again” isn’t a slogan — it’s a promise. A responsibility. A fire we carry.
