On October 6th, the global sports community is uniting to raise awareness about climate change and take sustainable action. Here at State Farm Stadium, we’re committed to making a positive impact and leading by example! Composting: Since introducing food composting in all back-of-house areas in late 2023, we’ve diverted an incredible 26,984 lbs of food waste from landfills! ♻️🥗 Butts to Watts: Partnering with Butts to Watts, we’ve collected 150 lbs of cigarette waste, transforming it into 86,520 watts of energy. That’s enough to charge 17,304 cell phones for an hour! 🔋📱 Food Donation: In 2024, we’ve donated 24,064 lbs of food to a local charity helping individuals recover from addiction and homelessness, empowering them to rejoin our community. 💚🍽️ Energy Conservation: We’re working with SRP and EnelX to reduce our electrical load during high-demand periods, helping prevent blackouts and brownouts. ⚡🌞 #GreenSportsDay #SustainabilityInSports #ClimateAction
