USF x GSW Dezmond Chatman and Leona Rexhepi, members of Cohort 58, are helping win championships! These Dons work for the Golden State Warriors Youth Basketball Academy and both share a strong commitment to giving back to the community and helping young athletes develop. Dezmond has always been a talented basketball player, however poor coaching and lack of mentorship growing up discouraged him from following his dream of playing in college. After a regretful decision to walk away from the game he loved, Dez found coaching as a way to reconnect with basketball! He started working for the Warriors in 2020 and through his hard work, great knowledge of the game, and commitment to helping young players grow, he quickly ascended to Head Trainer of the Warriors Youth Basketball Academy.
