Today, I had the privilege of caddying for my 6-year-old son in his final spring tournament of the Junior Champions League. He placed 2nd out of over 50 incredibly talented young golfers — his first time placing. 🥈 As a proud parent, this isn’t a post about medals. It’s about growth, grit, and the quiet work no one sees. Last year, my son missed the cut in both the fall and spring seasons. I watched his confidence take a hit. I held him as he cried, trying to understand why effort didn’t always equal immediate reward. In that moment, I had to explain a difficult truth — that sometimes others may cut corners, that life doesn’t always feel fair, but the real winners are the ones who keep going, keep showing up, and earn it.
