13 Years Sober.
Today, my sobriety officially becomes a teenager—and like most teens, it’s got some attitude, a bit of wisdom, and a whole lot of growth behind it.
Thirteen years ago, I made a decision to step into clarity. To trade chaos for purpose. And to let God steer while I did the work.
Since then, life has opened up in incredible ways.
I’ve built a career as a marketing executive.
I’ve become a husband, a father, a better friend.
My circle is stronger, my health is real, and my priorities are in check.
Sobriety didn’t strip me of anything—it gave me everything I actually wanted.
Peace. Presence. Progress. (And okay, better sleep.)
I don’t talk about it every day, but today feels like one of those moments worth sharing. Not for applause—but as a reminder: change is possible. Grace is real. And the life you want might just be on the other side of one brave choice.
Cheers to 13.
And to what’s ahead.
