Sankranti is one of the most important and biggest festivals of Andhra Pradesh, especially celebrated with great spirit in rural areas.
Even though I’m from a town, luckily this time I got to celebrate the festival in a village, experiencing the real joy and vibe of Sankranti.
Day 1 – Bhogi 🔥
We started the festival with a traditional Bhogi bonfire in front of the house, using small wooden logs along with some sneaker boxes and Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra parcel boxes 😄. Friends gathered early in the morning, had tea and coffee, and spent time discussing random things — simple moments, pure happiness.
Day 2 – Sankranti 🐓
One of my friends informed us about కోడి పందాలు (rooster fights). Excited and a little scared, we went to watch it. After reaching there, I was completely shocked — around 200 bikes and nearly 20 cars, full of josh and energy everywhere.
