Our ancestors arrived on these beautiful African shores 165 years ago. November 16th, 1860. All with one dream, to forge a better life for themselves and our families. Some as indentured labourers and some as passengers. Fast forward 165 years later, this is what our ancestors fought for. The FREEDOM to walk, to love and to explore these lands we now call home. Heritage Day is a reminder to honour the journeys, struggles, and stories that built our South Africa, because our past is the reason we stand proud today.
