Estonia 🇪🇪 Two hours on a ferry from Helsinki and I was in another country. Tallinn felt like stepping straight into a medieval town, cobblestone streets, Gothic spires, and old stone walls that have been here for centuries. I wandered & kept finding myself lost in those narrow alleys. ⚔️
But Tallinn isn’t just medieval charm, its history carries layers, once part of the Hanseatic League, later under Swedish and Russian rule, and even years behind the Iron Curtain during the Soviet era. You can still see hints of that influence in the architecture and the edge of the city outside the Old Town walls. 🏰
Then, out of nowhere, I found the best ramen I’ve ever had, in the basement of a house turned restaurant. That mix of old and unexpected is what made it unforgettable. 🍜
