Helen-Ann Comstock turned her own heartbreak into a legacy of hope for thousands of families.
When her husband Craig was diagnosed with FTD in the late 1970s, a time when even fewer had heard of it, she made it her mission to make sure no one else would have to walk that path alone. With just $1,000 and a vision, she founded theaftd in 2002, and it has become a lifeline for so many, including my own.
You showed us what’s possible when love becomes action, and how to turn pain into purpose. That has been truly inspiring to me. Our community will carry that forward.
I am thinking of her family during this time. May she rest in power and peace 💙
